Patrizia Pepe’s stores incorporate modern technology, such as digital screens displaying brand campaigns and fashion shows. Their stores are thoughtfully crafted to offer an immersive shopping experience. “Technology, aesthetics, and comfort can make visiting the store an event. These elements enhance the overall experience and connect shoppers with the brand's dynamic identity. Modern customers expect more than just shopping - they want an experience. Digital displays with Motion Graphics can attract attention and serve as focal points within the store, drawing customers toward specific areas or featured products.” Client’s Brief
I’ve edited various in-store Motion design in the past for the likes of Roche, Vodafone and Sainsbury’s. When the client came across some of my previous Motion works, they wanted a similar concept for their shops but this time with the addition of an interactive flair to it.
How can be a shopping experience and interaction encouraged by Motion Graphics?

Development

The strategy behind in-store design is often closely aligned with a brand's overall identity and goals. Interactive screens and animations can provide engaging content; Motion graphics can also be quickly updated to promote new collections, sales, or events, ensuring that messaging remains fresh and relevant. Building a flexible project that could be upgraded in the future was clearly the goal. I sat with the producer and developed a scalable layout that could promote product discovery, inviting customers to browse more and interact with the products. Having a rough sketch and some visual references created a direction for the project. We put forward a few variations on the theme, back and forth with the client to then deliver a fully customisable Motion Graphics template that can be flexible and re-usable for future updates.
